Mission Statement

It shall be the mission of the Indian Nations Council Shooting Sports Committee to:

• Provide a common resource in the various disciplines of shooting sports to the council and units.
• Assist in training and certification of shooting sports leadership for the summer camp program and for council and district events in accordance with Scouting America policy.
• Promote Scouting America policies and standards for shooting sports among Scouting leadership.
• Conduct an annual inspection and inventory of the council shooting sports facilities and equipment in coordination with the council camping committee.
• Seek to obtain appropriate materials and equipment for shooting sports.
• Evaluate the shooting sports venues at each of the council properties and develop a long-range maintenance and improvement plan.
